Indy 500 Celebrations In Hagerstown IN

Schedule: Saturday,  May 14 :

  • 10 am. Victory Lap mini marathon at Cory Field track
  • 11-4 pm. Indianapolis 500 and Perfect Circle memorabilia exhibit at the Community Building.
  • 2-3 pm. 5th grade students present Wax Museum characters at the Exhibit.
  • 7 pm. The final Movies of the ‘60s and Memories of race fans.

Ground Breaking For First Habitat For Humanity Home In Hagerstown IN

Ground breaking will be at the home site at 3:30 p.m., (349 N. Elm Street) and the 14th annual Habitat for Humanity of Greater Richmond meeting will be a Willie & Reds and 5:00. 25.00 goes towards meal with proceed benefiting the construction.  Volunteers needed for T, TH & Sat’s until July to construct house. Earlham College To Be Honored At “The Swing Music of Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw” Benefit Tonight

By Dave Bennett and his Quartet. The event will be at Lingle Auditorium Reid Hospital 1100 Reid Parkway Richmond, IN.  May 14, 2011 6:30 PM, Clarinetist Dave Bennett and his Quartet will bring to life the classic sound of “The Swing Music of Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw.” The concert is part of the Foundation’s ongoing Gennett Legacy Concert Series that recreates the music and history of Richmond’s Gennett Records. There will be a pre-concert chat with Bennett at 6:30 pm, followed by the performance at 7 pm. Model T's At Last Fall Tales Of The Departed

Model A’S & T’s coming through Wayne County this Weekend!

Ohio Valley Region Model-A Club Is Visiting Wayne County.  So if you want to catch a glimpse of Model A’s and T’s look below:

Sunday, 5/15 the Ohio Valley Region Model-A Club (cars from 1929-1931) and the T. Club (cars 1908 thru 1927) plan to arrive at the MCL Restaurant & Bakery for lunch @ approximately  11:30. then visiting the Model T Museum and Warm Glow Candles with a stop at Webb’s Antiques on the way home. There are 30 cars signed up for this tour, cars are open and some folks are driving 50 or more miles before joining the tour’s starting point @ Ron’s Machine Shop, Shandon, OH. Hoping for a sunny day in Wayne Co.
