This year the Richmond Parks Department has an even bigger array of activities for kids and families to enjoy!  Starting Saturday (tonight) at dusk the first of the Outdoor Movie series begins.

Cars will play at Westview Elementary on Saturday as the sun goes down and prior to the movie at 8:30 there will be kids games.  The movies are free and concession stands are available with inexpensive snacks.  They have also added a series of movies on Roosevelt Hill this summer.

The first session of swimming lessons at the Cordell Municipal pool started this week and will run for one more week before the next session. (contact the Park Office if you are interested in your child having lessons).  As you can see from the pictures they are having a good time.  (see also video below).

JUKO and Art In The Park also started this week and is going strong.  Kids are swimming, getting messy, creating, making new friends, and enjoying life.  Stay tuned for more events for kids and family offered by the Parks Department on  (Up next…Independence week fun).
