Hagerstown Museum & Arts Place

Hagerstown Museum & Arts Place continues its very popular free painting classes for kids and adults.

Kids classes are on Thursdays from 4-5 p.m., for ages 5-10.  Adult acrylic painting classes are every Saturday from 2-6PM unless otherwise notified on the Arts Place Facebook page.
The classes and art supplies are free, thanks to a grant from the Wayne County Foundation.  The kids classes are taught by longtime art teacher Bess Sturgis.  Adult classes are taught by Arts Place manager, painter Tom Butters.
Butters says the Arts Place mission is to make art accessible to everyone.  The gallery that displays paintings, pottery, photography and jewelry by regional artists, all reasonably priced.  For more information call 489-4005.

Buy art. It’s good for you.
