While visiting some or all of the sites below, think about your favorite Wayne County site and, if it’s not on our list, comment with a link to the site at the bottom of this page! – If anyone in the area knows a website address by heart, it’s very likely that site is Waynet.  While it probably isn’t the very first site anyone ever built focused on local news, events, and creating a helpful local business directory, it is certainly the most accomplished and popular site for those and a lot of other interesting content. – a relative newcomer to the Wayne County web scene, this site focuses on positive community involvement and activities.  The site seeks to answer this question:  ” How could we emphasize all the good things about our community and at the same time find better ways to address the challenges we face?” – It’s a home-grown, hometown newspaper website featuring Western Wayne News and the Nettle Creek Gazette.  Both have “e-editions” where subscribers can read the papers online. – HYPE Richmond (Helping Young Professionals Engage) is a volunteer-driven organization to connect and mobilize young professionals to make the Richmond area an even greater place to live, work, and play.  As the voice for young professionals in the community, HYPE Richmond promotes social, professional development, and leadership opportunities.

Antique Alley Websites – Did you know that Wayne County houses the heart of “Antique Alley?”  This link points to many of the websites of antique vendors in Wayne County.

Wayne County Directory – This is part of and has scores of local websites and contact information for local businesses of all kinds.  Worth a browse if you want to discover something new, or something in the community that you may have forgotten about! – Sunrise, Inc is a not-for-profit corporation, established in Wayne County in 1980, whose purpose is to promote the health and social development of physically, mentally and socially disabled people through therapeutic horseback riding.
