Gathering Of All Nations …Pow Wow in Winchester 2010

If you have never experienced a Pow Wow, the one coming up in Winchester Indiana will be both a cultural and educational experience.  Starting October 9 at 10:00 a.m., the Gathering of Nations and Honoring of Veterans will be a colorful event as well.

Located on Union Street, Goodrich Park, Winchester, IN, dancers will include Head Man- Aaron Stevens, Head Lady- Amber Tave, Junior Head Man -TBD, Jr. Head Lady- Kichie Malaterre Pennington, Head Veteran- Martin Tall Horse, Arena Director- Leroy Malaterre. The  Emcee will be- Brian Darst, Flint Knapper- Ron Kennedy, Story Teller- Anna Fisher, Fire Keeper- Frank Snyder, Tomahawk Thrower- Steve Witt.

There will be a benefit auction Saturday Night after the Flag Retreat. School Day is October 8th and teachers may call 765-584-2645 for information.

Grand Entries will be :Saturday 12 noon, 6 pm.,  and Sunday 1 pm.  The Pow Wow will include vendors and traders, demonstrators and performers. Parking is free.  There will be a small entry fee.

The Pow Wow will end on Sunday October 10 at 6:00pm.
