Looking for fun things to do with  friends or family this weekend?  Then look no further than your own Parks Department for unique choices for adventure.  And for more fun ideas how about FREE Shakespeare in the Park?…Read on for more details:

Observing The Stars

Using telescopes provided, bring the family out to the Middlefork Reservoir air field and see Saturn, Jupitor, Neptune and the galaxies.  A fun outdoor adventure for all ages, provided by Richmond Parks and Recreation.

Free Shakespeare At The Plaza (Elstro Park)

Come get your Shakespeare on and enjoy a live (free) performance at Elstro Plaza in Richmond.  Presented by the Richmond Shakespeare Festival, a wonderful way to spend time with friends and family in the open air.  Food trucks and beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

Outdoor Movie: Wrinkle In Time

Presented as a series by the Richmond Parks Department, a Wrinkle in time based on the children’s classic book will be offered for free in Glen Miller Park on Roosevelt Hill.  Activities will be offered at 8:30 by the JUKO staff for kids of all ages.  Movies start at dusk.  Brink your own blanket and chairs for relaxing.  Refreshments available for purchase.  Free.
