Wayne County Extension Homemakers Association wants to thank everyone involved in the success of our third biennial quilt show held May 8 and 9 at the Raper Center. Our theme “Splashes of Color for a Cure” allowed us to honor those affected by cancer; monies earned from silent auction of four quilts are directed to the Purdue Cancer Research Fund.
Special thanks go to our co-chairs, Joy Maupin, Jackie Webb, and Jessica Clayton, who spent many hours with their planning committee making sure that this year’s quilt show was better than ever. We also want to acknowledge Kathy Tincher, who ran our kitchen and who made the “world’s best” chicken salad sandwiches. We also want to thank our special speakers, Jan Livingston Brady, Linda Ringley, and Barb Roll. Finally, we are thankful for the generosity of the Wayne County individuals who were willing to share their quilts with us.
Extension homemakers are always open to new members. To find out about us, call the Wayne County Extension office at (765) 973-9281 or email email@example.com.
