This new and wonderful adventure is brought to you by the Visitors Bureau of Richmond/Wayne County. It is described as:
“Our new Wayne County Chocolate Trail, with free chocolate samples and discounted services or products, is the perfectly-affordable girls’ getaway or romantic adventure. It’s a self-guided journey that takes you to Wayne County’s one-of-a-kind bistros, candy factories and shops, historic homes, spas, a winery and intriguing gift shops. Complimentary chocolate-related samples, ranging from candy to candles to wine, are featured at each stop, and many Chocolate Trail attractions offer exclusive discounts, or Chocolate Bucks, to those participating in the Trail. Even a discounted spa treatment featuring chocolate is offered! Imagine that!” (excerpt from Chocolate Trail release).
From luscious chocolate brownies in Cambridge City..
and decadent chocolate desserts at Ghyslain in Richmond to chocolate wine from J & J winery and chocolate scented candles in Centerville IN—this is a “to die for” excursion for the chocolate lovers. (and these are just a few of the stops you will make along the Trail).
In order to receive the free chocolate samples you must pick up your Chocolate Trail passport at the Visitors Center on the east side of Richmond, IN. The unveiling of the Chocolate Trail will be Wednesday, December 1, 2010.
Now I know the above sort of focuses on women and romantic adventures…but in our family we just have some intensely addicted chocolate lovers who are beyond excitement about this trail–mostly men actually. Hope to see you out as you take this adventure.
