Wide open spaces at Hueston Woods State Park in Ohio, North of College Corner and Oxford. Of course you had the folks playing football, and volleyball and soccer, and kids throwing baseballs. And of course you took one in the head from time to time, but when the fireworks show started that all dulled down to a just below a loud roar.

The works were across the lake, so a little far away from where everyone was sitting on the beach. And it was kind of neat how you’d see the firework and hear it a second or so later, but they were very beautiful.

In all I’m glad I got to go on this little firework tour adventure in our closely surrounding areas, it reminded me of a much younger and magical time. Like little to no responsibility time.
