We’ve been distributing the new Go Wayne County print edition for the past 24 hours, and it is one you won’t want to miss.  This is the special 4H Fair edition which includes an insert of the Fair schedule created by GWC. Our front page contributor is Carolyn Lafever, Wayne County Historian, who writes about the very first 4H Fair in Wayne County.

Monroe/West Monroe, LA - Larry Fouche from Richmond won his Class in the Elders (over 70) Division at the 2011 World Horseshoe Championship in Monroe/ West Monroe, LA, last week.  He won 11 games, while losing none as he posted a ringer percentage of 20.68%  Larry also pitches for the GoWayneCounty.com team in the Rose City Horseshoe League at the Clear Creek Courts in Richmond, on Thursday nights.

The New Edition Of Go Wayne County In Print Is Here!

We are now distributing the latest special edition all over Wayne County.  Focused on the 175th Anniversary of Cambridge City, this edition has fun and interesting historical stories.

The celebrations in Cambridge City begin this Friday (tomorrow) the 24th and run through July 3rd.  As an insert into this edition you will find a full schedule of events to commemorate this historic year in the city’s history.

Beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony tomorrow on Foote Street in the small park opposite the beautiful mural of “Single G” the renowned racehorse, the festivities will include live music, caricature portraits, food–and that’s just the first day.
