The Richmond, Indiana Historic Depot District presents the 2016 Oktoberfest September 24, 2016. You don’t want to miss this! Oktoberfest is a full day of family fun, live music, and unique local street vendors.

Get out your lederhosen and join us at the 4th Floor Blues Club Outdoor Stage and Biergarten for free live music starting at 2:00 PM featuring The Dead Man String Band, The Doug Hart Band, and The Funk Yard Dogs. Bounce houses and games for the kids.

Maria Mitrione’s Catering will be serving a variety of German and American items and the 4th Floor Blues Club will have locally crafted beer as well as German options.

 Rebirth of Louis ArmstrongDean Alan Simms portrays a tribute to Louis Armstrong, one of the greatest musicians & entertainers of all time!

Dean is a trumpeter, bandleader, vocalist, entertainer, and playwright. He started performing at the age of 2, and playing trumpet from the age of 9. He has performed all over the USA and Europe. Former lead trumpeter for the Rock-Roll Hall of Fame Ohio Players, and back up musician band leader for Peabo Bryson, Dean has toured with many famous acts and musicians. His current project Satchmo: the Rebirth of Louis Armstrong is performing all over America.

Dean Alan Simms was inducted into the R&B Music Hall of Fame with the Ohio players in 2013, awarded Male Jazz Artist of the Year by the National Coalition of 100 Black women (Columbus chapter), and given the Ohio Finest Citizen Award by Rep Ross McGregor and the Ohio Speaker of the House William G. Batchelder.

satchmo band pictureDean has also won such awards as; Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame, 2013 R&B Music Hall of Fame, Ohio Male Jazz Artist of the Year, and many more. Band members include Richmond’s own Frank DeVito, along with Albert Jackson, Derrick Turner, Terry Twitty and of course Dean Alan Simms as Satchmo. The Crossroads Band will be opening the show. Food and a cash bar will be available. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased from any of our non-profit members, at our ticket outlets or right here…online. This will be another GREAT InCONCERT production!

You can purchase tickets from any of the InConcert non-profits supported by the series including the Townsend Center or any of its board members.  Ticket price $20/person.

Vegas is coming to Wayne County September 26!

Kick off Oktoberfest 2014 with InCONCERT’s Casino Night at the 4th Floor Blues Club!  This is guaranteed to be a night of fun, food and gambling.  InCONCERT is bringing Blackjack, craps, slots and even a unique twist to horse racing to Richmond and it’s all for a good cause.  InCONCERT’s events benefit more than 10 area non-profits with the proceeds from casino night.
The group of volunteers at InCONCERT wanted to bring horse racing to Richmond so they got creative, installing jumbo TVs throughout, the 4th Floor Blues Club. They brought the fun of horse racing to you even when no horses races can be televised so, grab your cash and come down to see how this group is bringing in the races.

Kids Fun Day Magic Show May 4

magicshowInCONCERT is hosting their annual Kids Magic and Fun Day at the 4th Floor Blues Club.  Your kids will enjoy face painting, animal balloons, Hoola-Hoop fun and magic acts.

InCONCERT is excited to bring the very talented Reed Sisters Magic.  These three sisters have been performing since the age of 3 with their family of magicians!  They have traveled the world entertaining audiences of all ages.  They will be bringing their award winning act and illusions to Richmond for two shows on Sunday May 4.

New Year’s Eve Party at 4th Floor Blues Club

It’s our annual New Year’s Eve party hosted by InCONCERT at the 4th Floor Blues Club. We have Fingertrip band playing, party favors, all you can eat buffet and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $25.00 and must be over 21. All tickets sales benefit more than 12 area non-profits. FREE ride home within Richmond city limits in the Blues Mobile. Come celebrate the new year with InCONCERT.

travis sims magicianTomorrow at 4th Floor Blues as part of the InConcert series magician Travis Sims of “Extreme Entertainment” will entertain both children and adults.  For children there are two shows at 3:30 and 5:30.  Tickets are 5.00 for the kids shows.  And then for the adults you can get tickets for shows following in the evening.  Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and tickets for the adult show are 15.00.  A local magician will perform prior to Drew’s appearance.  Food will be available for the kids shows and an open bar for the adults later at the evening show.  Contact Maria Mitrione’s for more information.  Proceeds benefit 11 non-profits in Wayne County.

American Girl: Kit Kittridge

On Saturday, at the Centerville Public Library, you can make someone very happy by taking them to see a program that is centered around one of the favorite American Girl Dolls and her life.  This event is from 2-4 p.m. and free to the public.

The InConcert Series At The 4th Floor Blues Club- New Years Party

will offer live music and entertainment at the 4th Floor Blues Club tonight.  Featured musicians are: Gil Puckett as well as the Jonny Hazard Band.  Doors open at 7:00 pm, tickets are 25.00 each which includes a buffet and champaigne toast.  Proceeds for this event help to support 12 non-profits in Wayne County.  Tickets can be purchased at Joe’s Pizza, Little Sheba’s, Wayne County Tourism or any of the non-profits supported by the InConcert Series.

New Year’s Eve At The Holiday Inn- Update: Cancelled (see details)

Moment’s Notice, a local jazz group favorite, will play live this evening at the new HolidayInn.  From 6-9 a prime rib buffet will be served and from 9-12 p.m. will be an open bar.  There will also be a champaigne toast at midnight.  For reservations you can call: 765-488-1975.  ***This event has been cancelled due to a low number of reservations.  However, they will be serving a regular meal from 6-11 p.m. and people are welcome to come and stay the night – no reservations needed for the dinner.  Live music will not be available.

Ring In The New Year With a ’60s bash at the VFW Kirk Little Post

Feel free to dress in your favorite ’60s attire as you ring in the new year at the VFW.  Please bring a finger food to share.  Closing at 1:00 a.m.  Call the VFW for more details.

New Year’s Eve Bowling Parties At 40 Bowl

Tonight you can reserve a lane for your family from 6- 8 p.m. with a 59.99 package which includes 2 pizzas, refillable soft drinks, 2 hours of bowling, shoes, and more.  Must call ahead or go in to reserve your spot. Arrival time is 5:30 p.m.

Later, the older crowd can enjoy a late night bowling party starting at 9:00 p.m.  Reservations are not needed but will be on a first come basis.  Cost is per person. 

Staying In Tonight?:  Joe’s Pizza Has A Dish For Your Party

Joe’s will be closing at 3:00 p.m. today, but will have dishes available for your party at home.  Offerings include their signature Calzones, Roscoe’s Rescue, pizzas & more!  Call in or drive by for some yummy additions to your party tonight.

At Civic Hall Richmond IN.  March 17, 2012.  This two-hour dance and music extravaganza contains a wealth of talent derived from all areas of Irish life, including three tenorsand a full cast of dancers. The show is an inspiring epic, reliving the journey of the Irish Celts throughout history. Using the traditional and modern arts of dance (ballet, modern dance, jazz) and music, this richly costumed show marries the contemporary and the ancient. Combining traditional Irish dance and music with the most up to date stage execution, the show is a thousand year old story presented as a modern day stage show. Don’t miss this wonderful evening of song and dance at Civic Hall on St. Patrick’s Day!

Earlham College Rhythm Project and Latin Jazz Ensemble perform followed by Gizzae, a sizzling Chicago Reggae band. Food available for purchase by Catering by Buffy. RHS Boys Varsity Game and Special Halftime Show:

Saturday 01/18/2011 at 7:30 p.m. RHS will take on Muncie Burris.

The halftime performance will include elementary students who participated in the Devilette Clinic on Saturday morning.  They will perform a dance routine they learned together.  Should be fun to watch!

In Arthur Miller’s compelling play this question arises because during World War II, with his attention on making a profit, a businessman knowingly sent faulty airplane parts to the U.S. military– risking not only his son’s life but the lives of many other parents’ sons. Live Music Tonight At Common Grounds Coffee House

Join us at Common Grounds Coffeehouse this Friday, February 11th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm to hear local Christian artist and guitar player Brian Wallen. Brian has performed at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville TN and other venues such as the Minnetrista Cultual Center and the Metamora Music Festival.  He has released 15 CD’s.

Swingsation Salsa Night Benefit Concert

Friday, January 11, 8-10 p.m in the Dining Hall in the Runyan Center.  Earlham’s Big Band Jazz Ensemble and the Salsa Band share the stage for a great night of dance music.  Bring your dancing shoes!  Proceeds benefit the United Way of Richmond.  Tickets: $5.00/adults & $3.00/ students and seniors.


The Winter Farmer’s Market

Starts at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday 2/12, and is located in the Innovation Center, Uptown Richmond IN.  Local preserves, homemade soaps, baked goods, and much more!  Also breakfast will be served.  The Market ends at noon.

Arts Place At The Hagerstown Museum

Adults…join us every Saturday from 2:00 p.m. (if you are a beginner) or 3:30 (if you are intermediate). No charge for instruction or art supplies. Kids classes resume February 3 at 4PM. We also exhibit and sell original art by local and regional artists.  We are located at the corner of Perry Street and 38/Main Street at the first stop light in town.

Red Cross Prom At 4th Floor Blues

Saturday, February 12th, the Red Cross Prom will be from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. Tickets are $30 single and $50 per couple.  The Prom includes dinner by Maria Mitrione’s Italian Market.  Entertainment is The Beagles Band and DJ Marta Sebastian.  There will be a King & Queen Contest, Roses for your Sweetheart, and a Silent Auction all to benefit the local chapter of the Red Cross. Must be 21 to attend.  Cash Bar.


Morton Hill Winter Festival: Winchester IN

The Third annual Festival will be Sunday, February 13 · 1:00pm – 4:30pm. Morton Hill Residence, Street, Winchester,Indiana. Snow Sculpture contest, Sled races, Hot Coco, Cookies and loads of family fun!! Sculpture contest starts at 1:30 p.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. This is our 3rd year and is growing! Come and play with us or just come and watch.
