Dancers From The Next Step Entertain Residents Of Friends Fellowship

IMG_1046

Several excited girls gathered at the Next Step Studio to go over their past recital numbers to share with residents of Friends Fellowship on Saturday, July 21, 2012.

Many weeks had passed since the girls had performed in their recitals, but the steps came back to them and they and their teachers, Laura and Michelle, were all happy they could remember.

Taking a break from summer activities, the dancers donned their costumes, headed to the studio to practice and then on to Friends Fellowship.  The residents were awaiting their arrival, many with smiles on their faces as the girls came into the community room.

Laura Hinkley, dance instructor at The Next Step, introduced the dancers as a group and later each girl individually as they finished their numbers.  At the end of the program the dancers had a surprise for the residents.  They had colored pictures and distributed them to the audience as they chatted with them.

There were many happy faces, young and a bit older, as the girls filed out of the Community Room of Friends Fellowship and were on their way to their next adventure of the day.  (To see more pictures of Next Step visits Friends Fellowship, go to our Facebook site: GoWayneCounty).
